The Central Davidson Spartans hosted the Asheboro Comets in both JV and Varsity Soccer.

The JV game remained scoreless for the entire first 30 minute half, and slightly past midway in the second half. With 13:13 left in the second period Comet Brian Pecero put in a goal to go into the lead, at 8:50 left in the half Comet Lisandro Chavez added to their score to go up 2-0, then with just a little over a minute remaining Comet Brian Alverez puts the final goal on the board for the JV Comets. The Central Davidson Varsity Spartans fell behind 2-0 to the Varsity Comets after Asheboro put in two goals in the second half. An Moi Ramirez goal with 32:52 in the second half put Asheboro up after a scoreless first half, a Matt Sutterby goal with 11:52 left in the game put the Comets up 2-0 looking like a shut out win by the Comets. However, the Spartans were far from done. About 3 minutes later with 8:20 left on the clock, Spartan D. Collier put his own rebound back in to put the Spartans on the board and fired them up. At the 1:52 mark, a G. Myers kick that snuck by the Comet Goalie tied the game up at 2 where it remained. Asheboro and Central Davidson finish the game tied up 2-2.
