Randleman 36-32 over SERMS, but let's Talk about strong pipelines that will soon feed the High Schools. After covering High School Football it is not always easy to go and cover a middle school game. There are many errors, as athletes are figuring out plays, speed, strength, amongst over things. It can be somewhat painful, but at the end, it is easy to look through the dust and find the good about middle school teams. These two teams will be clearing the dust real fast as the High School Coaches will not be able to wait until the future 7th and 8th graders get to the next level. Randleman has speed, a great quaterback, kids that will hit, kids that can catch, and kids that play hard. SERMS have skilled positions with a running back that is going to special, A ton of size, defensive back that look for contact, and a few kids that just simply play football.
Randleman Middle School defeated Southeastern Randolph Middle School in a 36-32 scoring fest. Randleman's Bailey Welch threw four touchdowns. CT Robertson had two touchdown receptions, Gunnar Gantt had one, and Trent Lineberry had the other.
The difference in the game was a 70 yard kick-off return for a score by Cole Wise.
Javon Letterlough from SERMS had two touchdowns and a sack. Camron Gray also recorded two touchdowns and had a couple of defensive sacks. The Wildcat defense was lead by Elvi Ramirez who finished with 8 tackles.
SERMS drops to 1-1 and will host Archdale-Trinity next week. Randleman remains undefeated at 2-0 and will travel to North Asheboro next Wednesday. Click here for a copy of the Middle School football schedule
