The Archdale-Trinity softball team hosted the Huskies of Northeastern Randolph hoping to pick up their second win of the season.

The Bulldogs held the Huskies scoreless in the first and then put up the first run of the game when Haley Mince hit a single that scored Abby Giles. The Huskies were able to answer the A-TMS score by putting 2 runs on the board in the second inning.

The Bulldog offense had a great 3rd inning when they were able to post 3 runs on the scoreboard thanks to Cammie Marion, Abby Giles, and Hailey Mince. The same trio that put 3 on the board in the 3rd inning was able to do the same in the 4th inning to make it a 7 to 2 ball game, and that would be all the offense that A-TMS would need.

Archdale-Trinity improved their record to 2-0 with their win over the Huskies by the score of 7 to 2. Camie Marion was the winning pitcher, giving up just 6 hits in 7 innings. The entire Bulldog team hit the ball well tonight against the Huskies. The offensive leaders were Camie Marion who was 3 for 4 with 2 singles, a double and 2 runs scored, Abby Giles was 2 for 3 with a single and a double and 3 runs scored, and  Hailey Mince was 2 for 2 with a single and a double and 2 runs scored.

Archdale-Trinity will travel to Randleman to take on the Tigers this coming Tuesday, and Nerms will host the Comets of South Asheboro.   Click here for a copy of the middle school softball schedule
