Asheboro Falls Hard to North Davidson 48-3

The Asheboro Blue Comets traveled northwest and ran into a buzz-saw in North Davidson, dropping tonight's game 48-3. The North Davidson Black Knights are 6-0 on the season and by far the best team that Asheboro has played to date. Conference play starts for both teams next week. Asheboro (3-3) will travel to Northeast Guilford as North Davidson will take on Tabor. The night's highlight and only score for Asheboro was a 41 yard field goal for Will O'Briant. Even when it came to kicking North Davidson would not be outdone as North Davidson's kicker Spencer Landfried kicked a school record-setting 51 yard field goal.
Asheboro's Kormorrius Ousley also had an intercetion on the night and running back Shaquelle Alsbrook had a nice 64 kick-off return run to North Davidson's 36 yard line late in the 4th quarter.
