The Huskies of NERMS held off a 4th quarter charge by South Asheboro Middle to grab the win 8-0 and stay undefeated at 4-0.
After recovering a first half fumble by SAMS, NERMS marched down the field to score 6 while tacking on a 2-piont conversion. The score would stay that way through the 1st and 2nd half as NERMS threatened to score two more times throughout the game while SAMS made impressive goaline stands each time.
With time running out in the fourth, SAMS was able to drive the ball down close to the 10 yard line of the Huskies only to have the ball intercepted in the end zone on the last play of the game, thus sealing the win for NERMS.
