The Bulldogs opened the game up by moving the chains with a couple of nice runs by Chase Wooley to move the ball down to the Uwharrie 30 yard line. The drive came to a halt when the Timberwolves recovered a fumble. Both offenses moved the ball well in the first quarter, but couldn’t put any points on the board.

The coaching staff for the Timberwolves made a bold call that paid off for them when they went for it on 4th and 2 on their own 30 yard line. They converted that 4th down and then marched down the field to score with 4:08 remaining in the 2nd quarter. Trevor Pack scored on a 1 yard run. They were unable to convert on the 2-point conversion attempt.
A-TMS tied the game on the very next possession with a quarterback keeper by Johnny Wagner. The Bulldogs could not punch in the 2-point conversion, and the score remained 6-6 going into halftime.
Uwharrie found the end zone on the first possession of the second half. Ethan Walker connected with Jackson Snyder for a 15 yard touchdown pass. The Bulldogs once again answered with a quick score when Wooley rushed up the middle. Wagner rushed up the middle to convert the important 2-point attempt. The Bulldogs led 14-12 at the end of the 3rd quarter.
The A-TMS defense stopped the Timberwolves and then added some insurance points when Tanner Ward scored on a 4 yard run to put the Bulldogs up 20-12. Wagner then scored another important conversion to give Archdale-Trinity a two possession lead.
It looked like the Bulldogs were going to score again with 3:30 left in the 4th quarter when Tyler Takac came up with an interception and returned it down to the Uwharrie 1 yard line. The Uwharrie defense then came up with a stop when they caused a fumble and recovered it on the 1 yard line. The A-TMS defense scored some points of their own when they tackled the Timberwolves in the end zone to get a safety. Archdale-Trinity went on to defeat Uwharrie by the score of 24-12.
