Southwestern Randolph traveled to McCleansville Friday night to take on a very good NE Guilford Ram team. The Rams definitely showed up to prove how good they were. The Rams scored on their first possession with a 50 yard pass play to go up 7-0.

The Cougars moved the ball down the field pretty well on their first possession, but was forced to punt. On the Rams next possession they scored again on a 66 yard pass play to make it 14-0.

On the Cougars next possession they moved the ball well with a couple key passes from QB Ryan Sineath. One of those passes for 42 yards to WR "WC" Lawson, that was tipped twice before landing in Lawson's hands.

After a few good plays and a strong 16 yard run by RB Carter Huffman, RB Daius Martin punched it in from 2 yards out to cut the lead to 14-6 with the 2 point conversion failing.

On that TD by Martin, that puts him in first place all-time in Cougar history for TD's scored with 29.

With the lead at 14-6, the Rams opened it up the rest of the game and pulled away from the Cougars. The Rams go on for the victory, winning 56-22 over the Cougars.

The Cougars drop to 3-6 on the year & take on the Blue Comets who are also 3-6, at SW Randolph next Friday night.

This will be senior night for SW Randolph & their last home game of the season. Final stats are not readily available at this time.
