Asheboro Senior Girls Win Powder Puff 33-6

The Senior Girls, under the leadership of Coach Lowell Pocock and Coach John Phillips, came away with a 33-6 victory over the juniors at Lee J. Stone stadium.
The seniors were led by QB Maggie Dunn who had a 90 yard Touchdown Run. RB Maresa Letterlough had 2 TD runs for the seniors, one from 48 yards and one from 55 yards. RB Destinee Martin had a 51 yard run for the seniors, and Radeonna Jones capped the scoring in the 4th quarter with an 8 yard TD run. Jo Donnelly booted 3 extra points for the seniors. On defense, the seniors were led by Samantha Brown, Haley Skipper, and Cheyenne and Shea Hicks.
The Juniors, under the guidance of Coach Zach Chilton and Coach Ben Heckethorn, were led by Jasmine Trogdon, who scored on an 80 yard TD run. Mayar Elgeyoshi handled the punting duties for the juniors and did a fantastic job all night. The defense for the juniors was led by Vanessa Brown, Bailey VonCannon, Desiree Woodle, and Lauren Patton.
The game atmosphere was fun filled with the Senior Cheerleaders performing to Lady Gaga at halftime.
