Asheboro JVs roll to a 44-6 opening win over Randleman

Even with a change in venue, the Asheboro JV football team rolled to a win over the Randleman Tigers 44-6. Thursday night’s game had to be played at South Asheboro Middle School due to work being done at Lee J. Stone but that didn’t stop the excitement of the start of the 2017 football season.

Asheboro got on the board first with a safety and never relinquished the lead the entire night. Randleman was able to get in the end zone at least once in the first half, went for the two-point conversion but failed. The rest of the evening belonged to the junior Comets as they put up 44 points.
