Comets take second at Cold Turkey Duals

The Asheboro Blue Comets hosted their annual Cold Turkey Duals on Saturday and ended up finishing second after falling to Northern Guilford in the championship match. There were nine other teams at the event including Providence Grove, Randleman, and Southwestern Randolph.

Asheboro picked up wins over Chatham Charter (84-0), North Forsyth (78-6), Providence Grove (72-9), and Richmond (72-11). In the championship match, the Comets were narrowly defeated by Northern Guilford 44-35. Asheboro had five wrestlers finish the day undefeated, while nine others finished with just one loss on the day.
