ER, WHS Cross Country teams qualify for state championship

The Eastern Randolph Wildcats’ girls’ and the Wheatmore Warriors’ boys’ cross-country team qualified for the state championship over the weekend. The Lady Wildcats finished fourth in the NCHSAA 2A Mid-East Regional, while the Warrior boys also finished fourth in the NCHSAA 2A Mid-East Regional. Eastern Randolph’s Emma Luther was named to the All-Region team with a sixth-place overall finish.

Several PAC-7 runners also had strong performances at the Mid-East Regional that were good enough to qualify them for the state championship as individuals.
