Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week” Taylor Gantt

After just one day of games this week, it is time for this week’s Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week.” Winter weather put a damper on most of the games this week, but one team did not let that stop them from picking up their first conference win of the season ad one player made sure it happened. This week’s Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week” is Randleman’s Taylor Gantt.

Gantt, a junior guard, led the Lady Tigers with 20 points in a 38-31 win over the Providence Grove Lady Patriots. The Tigers trailed at halftime but battled back in the second half with Gantt leading the charge. She left her mark on just about every part of the game as she finished with 20 points, 3 steals, and 1 rebound. She drained four threes and went 4-of-6 at the free throw line. In six games this season, Gantt is averaging 13 points, 2 steals, and 1.7 rebounds.

Congratulations to Taylor Gantt on being named this week’s Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week!”
