Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week” Timothy Brower

Kaitlyn Mullins

Exams made this a short week for Randolph County athletics, but it did not stop athletes from stepping up and giving it their all. Middle school athletics dominated the week and one middle school athlete led his team to a 2-0 finish for the week. This week’s Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week” is SERMS’ Timothy Brower.

Brower had a fantastic week for the Wildcats as he helped them close out the season with a pair of wins. On Monday, the Wildcats posted a 70-29 road win over the Uwharrie Ridge Timberwolves behind 17 points from Brower. He was key during the first quarter of the game against the Timberwolves as he helped the Wildcats build a strong lead. Two nights later he led the Wildcats to a 52-34 win over the NERMS Huskies at home. Brower paced the Wildcats with 24 points. In a game last week, Brower scored 31 points to lead the Wildcats in a tough loss against ATMS. Brower has helped the Wildcats to a 9-5 finish on the season and will lead them into the middle school basketball tournament in a couple weeks.

Congratulations to Timothy Brower on being named this week’s Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week!”
