Mid-States Toyota “Athletes of the Week” Kobe Morgan & Jaquan Snipes

This was another tough week in deciding the Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week”. Randolph County athletes put in some impressive performances and MyRandolphSports definitely took note. After going over the games and performances, we found two athletes who were deserving of this week’s athlete of the week honors. The Mid-State Toyota “Athletes of the Week” are Providence Grove’s Kobe Morgan and Randleman’s Jaquan Snipes.

Morgan, a senior WR and DB, put together an amazing performance on Friday for the Patriots. He helped lead Providence Grove to a 42-28 win over the Trinity Bulldogs and led them to their first conference win of the season. He scored four times for the Patriots in the win and he made some big plays to do so. Morgan returned kickoffs of 99-yards and 91-yard in for touchdowns. He then caught a touchdown pass from both Andrew Poteat and Cade Snotherly. He was not done there as he pulled down an interception. He has been a strong and consistent player for the Patriots this season and he showed why on Friday.

Snipes, a sophomore RB and FS, helped the Tigers roll to a 59-12 win over Jordan-Matthews Friday on homecoming. He was all over the field and helped move the ball a variety of ways. His play of Friday was spectacular and crucial to the big lead for the Tigers. He scored three touchdowns for the Tigers and finished with 137 rushing yards and 90 receiving yards. He scored rushing touchdowns on runs of 35-yards and 37-yards. Both time he broke a couple tackles to get up field. He one receiving touchdown came on a 37-yard pass from Tanner McGee. Snipes has been explosive all season and with the way the Tigers are play now teams need to make sure to do their homework on Randleman.

Congratulations to Kobe and Jaquan on being named this week’s Mid-State Toyota “Athletes of the Week”!
