Randleman Boys Demolish Eastern Randolph

Randleman closed out a varsity PAC-7 Conference doubleheader against the Eastern Randolph Wildcats on Tuesday night.

Starting the game with the first basket of the night was Stephan Jones as he laid one in for the Wildcats. Once the Tigers got the ball there was no stopping them. Randleman opened the game with a 12-0 run behind scoring from JaQuan Snipes, Tanner McGee, Sam Gribble, and Dominick Poole. Randleman’s defense was no point during the first quarter as they held the Wildcats to just four points. Gribble ended the quarter for the Tigers with a nithing but net three for a 15-4 lead.

Andre King pulled the Wildcats within ten after making one of two at the free throw line. Randleman extended their lead to twelve as McGee knocked down a jumper. The Tigers would seven unanswered after the bucket by McGee to take a 24-5 lead. Knocking down a three pointer was Nathan Cassidy as he extended the Tigers lead by 21 points. Stepping to the free throw line for the Wildcats was Kody Wilder as he made one out of two. Gribble drained another three to give the Tigers a 32-8 lead at halftime.

Coming back from the half, Randleman went on a 4-0 run as Snipes and Poole made back to back shots. Braxton Luther knocked down a step back three to bring the Wildcats’ total to 11. McGee was sent to the line as he drew a foul and added an extra point for the Tigers. Kobe Alston took the ball to hoop and scored to cut the lead to 37-13. McGee scored six unanswered to push the Wildcats’ lead to 43-13. Luther was able to get open for a jumper as he added two more points to the Wildcats total. Randleman came out on top in the third quarter as they lead by 32 points. Eastern Randolph trailed by 30 points as Alston made it a 47-17 game.

Cassidy quickly pulled up for a three as he gave Randleman a total of 50 points at the start of the fourth quarter. Luther added two more points to the Wildcats total to cut into the lead. Hitting a three pointer for the Tigers was Robbie Rich as he made it a 53-19 game. Eastern Randolph got a three from Alston to close the gap a little. Luther once again helped out as he put in a basket for Eastern Randolph. Knocking down a jumper for Randleman was Corey Ingram as he made it a 55-24 game. Eastern Randolph got back to back buckets from King and Isaac Kidd to try and close the gap. Randleman pushed their lead to 29 after a bucket from Cassidy. Alston drew a foul on the Tigers and went to the free throw line where he made one of two shots. Cassidy and Ingram extended Randleman’s lead by making it a 63-31 game. Luther knocked down a three pointer to finish out the fourth quarter for the Wildcats. Rich gave the Tigers 67 points as he put in a bucket for Randleman. The Tigers got the win 67-35 over Eastern Randolph.

Top scorers for the Tigers was Tanner McGee and Ja’Quan Snipes as they both finished with 13 points. Nathan Cassidy chipped in 12 points, while Dominick Poole helped out with 8 points. For the Wildcats, Kobe Alston finished with 9 points, while Stephan Jones and Braxton Luther both helped out with 7 points.
