Randleman knocks off ATMS

The Randleman Tigers traveled just up the road to take on the ATMS Bulldogs. Neither team had played any games this week prior to this one due to the rain this week and both teams were excited to be able to take the field one more time before spring break.


The Tigers scored 1 run in the 1st inning. Strickland singled and scored on a groundout by Atkins.

The Bulldogs held Randleman scoreless in the second inning and then took a 3 to 1 lead in the bottom half of the 2nd inning. Zach Crites walked and scored on a fielders’ choice by Reigo Rodriguez. Travis Hurt singled and scored on a single by Robert Hales. Rodriguez scored on a hit by Rylan Smith that resulted in an error.

Randleman did not allow the Bulldogs to maintain a lead very long. They scored 4 runs in the top of the 3rd inning to take 5 to 3 lead. The Tigers had their best inning at the plate during the 4th inning. They tacked on 6 more runs on 4 hits to take an 11 to 3 lead.

ATMS chipped away at the lead in the bottom of the 4th inning with two more runs. Harrison Moffitt walked and scored on a single by Robert Hales. Reigo Rodriguez reached on an error and scored on a single by Cameron Hinson.

Randleman went on to win by the score of 11 to 5.
