Randleman, Wheatmore make playoff field

The Randleman Tigers and the Wheatmore Warriors were the only Randolph County football teams to earn a spot in the 2017 state playoffs. The NCHSAA announced the seedings and pairings for the tournament on Saturday. Randleman and Wheatmore both hail from the 2A PAC-7 conference. Randleman (9-1) won the conference and received an automatic bid. Wheatmore (9-2) received an at large bid. The Tigers will host their first round playoff game, while the Warriors will hit the road.

First Round (11/10):

7:00PM #4 Randleman vs #13 Roanoke Rapids

#13 Wheatmore at #4 South Columbus (Game time TBA)
