RC has four place at state track meet

Eight Randolph County student-athletes traveled to Greensboro on Friday to participate in the state track meet on the campus of NC A&T State University. The eight athletes compete in fourteen events throughout the day. State qualifiers were Jessica McQueen (Trinity), Amya Brooks (ER), Clayton Gentry (Randleman), Xavier Foust (PG), Alex Trexler (Wheatmore), Jordan Terrell (ER), Latrell Moore (Asheboro), and Danae Ferguson (Asheboro).

– 5th Place 100-meter dash (12.58)
– 8th Place 400-meter dash (59.99)

Amya Brooks, ER

– 2nd Place Triple Jump (37-08.50)
– 3rd Place High Jump (5-02.00)
– 8th PLace Long Jump (16-09.50)

Clayton Gentry, Randleman

– 2nd Place Long Jump (22-11.00)
– 4th Place 200-meter dash (22.51)

Xavier Foust, PG

– 9th Long Jump (20-11.00)

– 3rd Place Shot Put (51-09.25)
