Blue Comets win Emma Ducey tournament

The Lady Blue Comets of Asheboro faced off against five other teams from Randolph County in the annual Emma Ducey golf tournament and came away with the win. Asheboro took home first place with a score of 292, while Providence Grove finished with second with a 307, Southwestern Randolph was third with a 320, Trinity was fourth with a 360, and Eastern Randolph was fifth with a 364. Wheatmore also participated in the event but did not have enough golfers to qualify for a team score.

ER girls, WHS boys win PAC-7 CC meet

Eastern Randolph, Wheatmore, Providence Grove, and Jordan-Matthews faced off on Wednesday in a PAC-7 conference cross country meet at the Wheatmore High School course. The Lady Wildcats and the Wheatmore boys came out on top at the end of the day.
