The Wheatmore Lady Warriors and the High Point Andrews Red Raiders each took first place at the PAC-7 track and field championship on Tuesday.

Notable Performances

-Neva Hippert (WHS) finished 1st in pole vault, 2nd in 200 meter dash, and 2nd in 400 meter dash
-Tyrese Cassidy (ER) finished 1st in the boys’ long jump
-Clayton Gentry (RHS) placed 1st in the boys’ high jump
-Umar Abdul-Matin (RHS) finished 1st in the boys’ 300 and 110 meter hurdles
-Noe Mercado (RHS) placed 1st in the boys’ 1600 and 3200 meter runs
-Taylor Deaton (RHS) finished 1st in the girls’ 1600 and 3200 meter runs
-Amya Brooks (ER) finsihed 1st in the girls’ 100 and 200 meter dash and the triple jump
