Cougar tennis tops Southern Guilford

The Southwestern Randolph Lady Cougars tennis team defeated Southern Guilford 6-0 for another MPC win. Singles winners for the Cougars were Samantha Lagrama, Caeleylaine Price, Abigail McNeill, Jessica Outen, Bailey Thomas, and Rebekah Sugg. The Cougars are now 6-3 in MPC play and 9-3 overall on the season.


Warriors CC takes tri-meet

The Wheatmore Warriors competed against Providence Grove and Trinity in a cross-country tri-meet on Wednesday. Trinity and Wheatmore tied for first place in the boys division with scores of 37, while Providence Grove finished with a 46. In the girls division, Wheatmore took first with a 26, while Providence Grove came in second with a 31. Trinity did not have enough runners for a team score.

Blue Comet tennis tops Eastern Guilford

The Ashebor0 Blue Comets tennis team posted a 5-4 win over MPC opponent on Wednesday. Singles winners for the Blue Comets were Allison Russell, Luna Corona, and Angie Pincus. Georgia Shipley teamed up with Pincus for a doubles win, while Evelin Correa and Russell picked up a doubles win also. Asheboro is now 5-4 in conference play and 8-4 overall on the season.


Cougar golf tops PG and Trinity in tri-match

The Southwestern Randolph girls’ golf team picked up a win against Providence Grove and Trinity on Wednesday. The Cougars finished with a score of 167, while Providence Grove placed second with a 171, and Trinity came in third at 205. PG’s Maddie Hunt earned medalist honors.
