Jordan-Matthews vs Trinity Boys Basketball CT Tournament 5th Place Game

The Trinity Bulldogs took home fifth place in this year’s Courier Tribune Christmas Invitational after taking down Jordan-Matthews 59-47 on Saturday afternoon. Jordan-Matthews was the first to score, but a run and some key threes put the Bulldogs in control. Trinity would lead 18-9 at the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs outscored Jordan-Matthews 16-8 in the second quarter for a 34-17 lead at halftime. Trinity remained in control and lead 43-29 heading into the fourth quarter. Top scorers for the Bulldogs were Hunter Neal with 19 points, Leland Hayes with 11, and Tyler Hammonds with – points. For the Jets, Alex Cotton and Jayqwan Artis both finished with 12 points, while Caleel Walden helped out with 10 points.
