Providence Grove vs Eastern Randolph Baseball

After being postponed twice, the Providence Grove Patriots and the Eastern Randolph Wildcats finally faced off Thursday in PAC-7 baseball action. The Patriots would fall 5-1 in extra innings to the Wildcats. Eastern Randolph led 1-0 by the bottom of the seventh, but Jacob Switzer brought in the game tying run for the Patriots. Michael Glasgow picked up the pitching win for the Wildcats in two innings after giving up no hits and striking out three. Eric Cheek led the Wildcats at the plate as he went 1-for-4 with 2 RBIs. PG’s Connor Patterson struck out 20 batters from the mound.

In jayvee action, the Patriots topped the Wildcats 20-1 in four innings. Travis Boone led at the plate with 4 hits and 4 runs, while also picking up the pitching win. Connor Johnson and Cade Snotherly each finished 3 hits, 3 runs, and 3 RBIs.
