Providence Grove vs Wheatmore Boys Basketball

The Wheatmore Warriors posted a narrow 71-67 win over the Providence Grove Patriots on Monday in PAC-7 play. Wheatmore led 15-14 at the end of the first quarter and then took a 32-29 lead in to the half. Providence Grove kept the game within three and trailed 51-48 at the end of the third. This one would go down to the wire as the Patriots tied and took the lead late in the fourth, but the Warriors would hang on.

Leading the way for the Warriors was Gavin Rains with 20 points. Corey Hudgins and Austin Biggs each finished with 16 points, while Bryant Walker added 11. For the Patriots, Daylin Locklear and Tyler Hutton each finished with 12 points, while Brandon Carter and Evan Taylor each chipped in 10.
