Southwestern Randolph vs Randleman Boys’ Basketball

The Southwestern Randolph Cougars picked up an exciting 58-56 win over the Randleman Tigers at the buzzer on Tuesday night. The Cougars led 16-10 at the end of the first quarter. Randleman outscored the Cougars 12-9 in the second quarter, but still trailed 25-22 at halftime. The Tigers would take the lead in the third quarter, but hot three point shooting gave the lead back to the Cougars. Randleman got hot from behind the arc and retook the lead. Southwestern Randolph would battle back to take the lead, but Randleman would tie the game at 54 all, before taking a 56-54 lead. It was Southwestern Randolph’s turn to tie the game this time at 56 all. The Cougars would steal the inbounds pass and score to win the game.

Ethan Reynolds led all scorers with 27 points, while Tanner Ferguson chipped in 9 for the Cougars. Cody Russell, Luke Johnson, and Brighton Long each finished with 6 for Southwestern Randolph. Sam Gribble finished with 14 points to lead Randleman, while Tanner McGee added 12. Dominick Poole and Jaquan Snipes each notched 10 for the Tigers.
