Wheatmore at West Davidson Softball

The Wheatmore Warriors fell 8-5 on the road at West Davidson on Wednesday in their season opener. The game was tied 2-2 after the first inning before the Dragons tallied three runs in the second inning for a 5-2 lead. West Davidson added two runs in the third and one in the fourth for an 8-2 lead. Wheatmore brought in two runs in the fifth to cut the lead to four. The Warriors added a run in the seventh but could not come up with any more runs.

Emily Lane went 2-for-4 at the plate with 1 RBI for the Warriors, while Kaleigh Craft finished 1-for-2 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs.
