SWR’s Lagrama signs with UNCG

Another athlete in Randolph made the decision to continue their athletic career at the next level on Monday. Southwestern Randolph’s Samantha Lagrama signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her softball career at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Lagrama has been a member of the varsity softball team all four years of high school and has led the Cougars to a 46-24 record in her first three seasons. She is a key part of the Cougars success and has gotten better with each passing season. Last season she finished with a batting average of .574, 19 runs scored, 27 RBIs, 30 hits, and 5 home runs. She has a career batting average of .500 and has scored 45 runs on 99 hits in 67 career games. She also has career totals of 66 RBIs and 13 home runs.

She is a leader on and off the field for the Cougars and they will miss her presence next year. Aside from playing softball, Lagrama is also a member of the varsity basketball and tennis teams. Everyone here at wants to congratulate Samantha on this outstanding accomplishment and we wish her the best!
