It was Senior night at Randleman High School on Friday as the Tigers honored seniors Gunnar Gantt, Bailey Welch, Noah Strickland, Jaxson Connor, Chase Webb, Chase Newby, Dylan Foster, Zac Kemp, and Tucker Hartsell. The Tigers hosted the Trinity Bulldogs on senior night.

The Tigers started out strong in the top of the first as senior Zac Kemp struck out three straight batters. In the bottom of the second, Trinity forced two quick outs, but gave up a walk to Gunnar Gantt. Gantt would be left stranded as the Bulldogs picked up the final out of the inning.  Cole McCrary and Garrett Allen picked up back to back base hits for the Bulldogs to open the second inning. McCrary would be picked for the first out of the inning and after a strikeout for out two, the Tigers gave up a walk to Connor Vick. Vick was left stranded as the scored was still tied at 0. Chase Newby started the bottom of the second with a double for the Tigers. The Bulldogs would get the first out of the inning, but followed the out with an RBI single for Noah Strickland to score Newby. A sacrifice fly to center from Kemp scored Strickland to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead after two innings.

Trinity opened the third inning with a base hit before the Tigers got the first out of the inning. Johnny Wagner and Zack Lambeth each picked up free bases to load the bases for the Bulldogs. A RBI single from McCrary scored the lead runner and cut the Tigers’ lead to one. Randleman picked up the second out of the inning, but gave up a base hit to Allen and a walk to Hunter Mosley. The walk by Mosley scored Wagner to tie this one at 2 all. Vick drew a walk from the Tigers and that allowed Lambeth to score. Randleman got out of the inning with a strikeout, but they were trailing 3-2. Ramsey Petty and Gantt earned base hits for the Tigers in the bottom of the third. Trinity picked up the second out of the inning as Koty Ransom stepped to the plate. Ransom hit a RBI double to score Gantt and tie the game at 3 all.

The Tigers had trouble with the light going out and due to those technical difficulties the game was called. It will be finished at a later date.
