Southwestern Randolph Wins Mid-Piedmont 3A Championship
Posted on January 27, 2012 at 9:04 AM by Fred Burgess
Southwestern Randolph High School

Congratulations are in order to the Southwestern Randolph Wrestling team. They wrapped up the Mid-Piedmont 3A Championship in major fashion with a 72-3 win over North Forsyth. Coach Chris Waddell has done an excellent job directing this Cougar team. They graduated several wrestlers last year, and many thought the Cougars would have their struggles this year. Instead this team picked up right where it left off.
This is the third straight conference championship for Southwestern Randolph. Coach Waddell commented, "It is a great group of guys. They pull for each other, and they want to do what is necessary to get better every day." Congratulations to the Mid-Piedmont 3A Conference Champions.

Lost, But Now Found (Weekend Wrap-Up Show Video)

Video and Other Media
I had some major technical difficulties with a Weekend Wrap Up Show we produced at the end of last December. I could not get it to work and the software kept crashing. I gave up on it and said we were just not going to put in on the internet because of all the difficulty. Recently we found the bug that was causing the problems and all is corrected.
I know it is about a month late, but some people would like to see it anyway. It has several highlights from the Courier-Tribune Christmas Tournament. I apologize for the delay. I hope you enjoy it.
